Why You Should Read This Privacy Policy?
This Privacy Policy has been prepared to explain, in a clear and transparent manner, how EATN collects, uses, stores, protects and processes your personal information when you access or use the EATN mobile application, website, and related services (collectively referred to as the “Platform”). Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to ensuring that your personal data is handled lawfully, fairly and securely at all times. By accessing or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to the collection and use of your personal information in accordance with its terms.
1. Introduction

EATN is committed to complying fully with all applicable data protection legislation in the United Kingdom, including but not limited to the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018, and all other relevant laws and regulations applicable in England and Wales. This Privacy Policy explains the legal basis upon which we collect your personal data, the purposes for which your data is used, the circumstances in which your information may be shared with third parties, and the rights available to you in relation to your personal data. Our objective is to ensure transparency and accountability in the way we process your information while delivering our food delivery services efficiently and securely.
2. Who We Are (Data Controller)
For the purposes of data protection law, EATN acts as the “Data Controller” in respect of the personal data collected through the Platform. This means that EATN determines the purposes for which and the manner in which, your personal data is processed.
Business Name: EATN
Legal Status: Sole Trader

As the Data Controller, we are responsible for ensuring that your personal data is processed in compliance with applicable data protection laws and that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information.
3. Information We Collect
In order to provide our services effectively, we collect and process various categories of personal information depending on how you interact with the Platform.
3.1 Information You Provide Directly
When you register for an account, place an order, contact customer support, or otherwise engage with our services, you may provide us with personal information including your full name, email address, telephone number, delivery address or addresses, account login details, order history, food preferences, and any communication you send to us. Where payments are made through the Platform, payment details may also be entered; however, payment processing is generally handled securely by authorised third-party payment providers rather than being stored directly by EATN.
3.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Platform, certain information may be collected automatically for operational, analytical, and security purposes. This may include your device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, IP address, browser type, approximate location data where location services are enabled, and information relating to your use of the application, including browsing behaviour, app interactions, and usage analytics. This information helps us improve the functionality, security, and overall user experience of the Platform.
3.3 Information Received from Third Parties
We may also receive relevant personal information from trusted third parties such as payment processors, restaurant partners, and delivery drivers where necessary to facilitate your order, manage transactions, and resolve service-related issues.
3.4 Stripe – EATN’s Third-Party System Supplier
EATN may share certain information with third-party IT system suppliers for the purposes of maintaining, supporting, and improving the functionality of the Platform. In particular, payment information entered by users within the application is processed through Stripe, which acts as our designated third-party payment system supplier. EATN does not directly store full payment card details. Stripe processes payment information securely in accordance with its own privacy and security standards. Users are encouraged to review Stripe’s own Privacy Policy and Payment Policy for further information regarding how payment data is collected, processed, and protected. You can review Stripe’s full privacy policy here: https://stripe.com/gb/privacy
3.5 Google Firebase
EATN uses Google Firebase as a third-party cloud hosting and application support provider. Firebase assists in the secure operation of the Platform by supporting user authentication, real-time database functions, order tracking, push notifications, analytics, crash reporting, and secure storage of operational data. In providing these services, Firebase may process personal data including names, contact details, delivery addresses, device information, IP addresses, usage analytics, and account-related information. This processing is necessary for the performance of our services, platform security, fraud prevention, and service improvement. Where Firebase processes personal data on our behalf, appropriate safeguards are maintained in accordance with UK GDPR requirements. You can review Google Firebase’s full Privacy Policy here: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

This includes processing and delivering your food orders, managing your account registration, facilitating communication with restaurants and delivery drivers, handling customer service requests, and resolving any disputes or issues relating to your orders. Without this information, we may be unable to provide our services to you.
4.2 Legitimate Interests
We may process your data where it is necessary for our legitimate business interests, provided that those interests do not override your rights and freedoms. This includes improving application performance, monitoring user experience, preventing fraud, ensuring platform security, analysing business performance, and supporting the growth and development of EATN.
4.3 Legal Obligations
We may be required to process and retain certain personal data in order to comply with legal obligations, including accounting requirements, tax laws, anti-fraud measures and regulatory compliance obligations imposed under UK law.

5.1 Service Providers
We may share data with trusted third-party service providers who support the operation of our business, including payment processors such as Stripe, cloud hosting providers such as Google Firebase, analytics providers, customer support systems, and IT maintenance providers. These third parties are only permitted to process your data in accordance with our instructions and must maintain appropriate confidentiality and security standards. Google Firebase is a third-party service provider that helps operate the platform and used to store user data, manage customer accounts and for data encryption purposes.
5.2 Restaurants and Delivery Drivers
In order to complete your order, we may share relevant personal information with restaurant partners and delivery drivers. This may include your name, delivery address, contact details, and order information necessary for the preparation and delivery of your food. Only information strictly required for fulfilment purposes will be shared.

7. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including compliance with legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations. Account information is generally retained for as long as your account remains active. Order-related information may be retained for up to six years in accordance with UK tax and accounting requirements. Marketing data will be retained until you withdraw your consent or opt out of receiving such communications. Once data is no longer required, it will be securely deleted or anonymised where appropriate.
8. Your Rights Under UK GDPR
Under UK data protection law, you have several important rights in relation to your personal data. These rights include the right to request access to your personal information, the right to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data, the right to request deletion of your information where legally applicable, the right to restrict or object to certain types of processing, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, you may contact us at contact@eatn.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK’s supervisory authority for data protection matters, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), if you believe your personal data has been handled unlawfully.
